Requesting some help on how to add music on hold feature to an analog TN.

how to add music on hold feature to analog TN so that whenever a call is place on hold a recording is played?

Music on hold is a system wide parameter. It's not specific to any type of phone. You turn it on on the route and Customer Data Block.

Music on hold works ok on digital trunks. how do i get it to work on analog trunks?

You have to turn it on in the Route Data Block, at the MUS prompt say yes and tell it what the music route is.

How can i tell which route a trunk belongs to?

Print all your routes, check that parameter, the likelyhood is they are all the same, just enter that in the ones without. Test to make sure you have what you want. Should be quick and painless.

You could have a problem with Analog Phones MOH.
Most analog phone have the hold function built
into the phone and will not active the PBX hold
function.

You could set a memory key to do a "real" Hold

Hook flash + #-4 will put an analog station on hold.

In North America lingo, "Flash, then Pound Four"
