Have A Option 61c all copper trunks , Another vendor Installed 2250 consoles . now line seizure intermittently
lock up lines. will have to remove bridging clips on frame to release line for dial tone. trunks are ground start.
any idea in programming could cause issue ?

Check the Route's NEDC and FEDC values. Set both of them to ETH if they are anything else.

Often lockups are due to external transfers. You may find toggling the SUPN on the trunk TN also corrects problems.

Also due a TRAC in LD 80 and see what the trunk is TIED to, most likely another trunk

Take note of this is your RDB....

HOLD 02 02 40

The 40 = 40Secs and means that if your seizure lasts less than this value, a peg is counted as a "failed" call. You also get the opposite on a good call. Get enough failures, and the line will block.

The theory goes that if you do not have supervision on the line, then there needs to be some form of alternate supervision. This is in the form of good call / bad call. Its by no means perfect, but sorta works.

I take all mine down to about 6 secs.... long enough to be answered, or listen to busy tone, yet not count as a failed call.

DFKSydney: Nah, those increment decrement timers only have to do with "when does a TRK message output".

They will not ever lock up or disable a trunk regardless of what they are set at.

There is no setting in the switch that will take a trunk out of service other than you disabling it.

They are adjustable so remote monitoring can be tweaked.
