Hi all,

I'm trying to find out how to stop people calling premium rate numbers (090, etc). Is it possible to create a system wide deny list which included the start of the numbers for example?

Many thanks for any help.

Nick

You would do that under the SDRR prompt in ld 90

NPA 1210

NPA 1210
RLI 3
DENY 976

SDRR DENY CODES = 1
ITEI NONE

So I am set to allow people to dial 12105551212, if they have that access level, but I deny all 976, 1210976XXXX.

To program this you would:

MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 2712472 USED U P: 324046 76441 TOT: 3112959
DISK RECS AVAIL: 1280
REQ chg <- You type this
CUST 0<- You type this
FEAT net<- You type this
TRAN ac1<- You type this
TYPE npa<- You type this

NPA 1210<- You type this

RLI <- just hit enter it pre-existing programming
SDRR deny<- You type this
DENY 976<- You type this
DENY<- just hit enter it pre-existing programming
SDRR<- just hit enter it pre-existing programming, or input another string you want to deny.
ITEI<- just hit enter it pre-existing programming
NPA<- just hit enter it pre-existing programming

This of course is for the US and Canada. Print out your routing and paste here as you may use SPN's instead of NPA/NXX entries, but it would be the same programming to deny access to specified numbers.

09 is the start of the UK premium rate number range in the UK and it's found under SPN's in LD 90.
Look in this area to add in any DENY codes.

I'd print them all off first as you might have SPN's 09 or 090, 091 etc.

Hi all, thanks for the responses.

Firebirdscrambler - I've managed to print the current SPN's but can't see where the DENY codes are set. Do i set a new SPN for 09x? Where does the DENY bit go?

Thanks

It's best to contact me off line via the link below. Generally speaking, you should have an SPN of 09 or 090 etc. You won't see the DENY entries unless there they are already present against a number listed.

I've done you an example below on what you could try to enter in a DENY code.

Ok, so we don't have any 090 SPN's currently setup. It sounds like the above would work for specific numbers but I'd like to block any user from calling any number starting with 090.
Is that possible?
Thank you

Please provide an example of a number, and how it is dialed from the site and we can show you what needs to be done to block that number.

Hi, we dial 9 to get an outside line and then i want to block all numbers starting with 090. So it'll be 9090xxxxxxxx.

ok, if you dial 9+090 and you don't have 090 built in LD 90, they shouldn't be getting out of the system.

Please print out the following:

LD 20

REQ: PRT
TYPE: DNB
DN: 9

And paste that here. If 9 is an ACOD on your outgoing route, you may have to build your BARS/NARS tables to get this blocked. Not difficult, but a little tedious.

What you would want to see is 9 is the AC1 or AC2.

Go to:

LD 86

REQ: PRT
Type: ESN

Look for AC1/AC2 and see what is in there.

Yes, here are the results -

DN 9
TYPE NARS
NTBL AC1

LD 86 results -

AC1 9

Go into LD 90 and print off the SPN's. Follow my example above, but press enter where you see SPN to print off all of them and post it here.

Your SPN's aren't standard UK ones as your initial one of "0" is being used to route all "0" codes out of the system.
All you need to do is to create a new SPN of "09" in LD 90.

For any other area codes succh as UK 01,02 numbers etc, just add in a new SPN of 01 or 02 etc with a flen of 11 as there shouldn't be any codes greater than 11 digits.

Great, thanks. I'll do this now and will test once i have an 090 number to test with. Thanks
