I put lines 61 and 62 in a new module.

I set auto attendant answer to no on both.

I set the 2 lines to appear and ring on a phone but the autoattendant still answers after 0 rings. Any idea on what I;m missing?

Mics 7.0
Callpilot 150-Mini 2.1

Thanks!

Excellent.
Can I assume that Lines 61 and 62 are POTS lines?
You say that you have those 2 lines Appearing AND Ringing on a phone? If you go to that phone and do a Feature * 0, then press each of the 2 line keys, what does the display show?

yeah, 61 and 62 are both pots. When I do a feature *0 it shows the lines on the correct buttons. I'm using 7316e phones.

I'm racking my brain trying to figure it out. I took out line 1 from the AA and put it to appear and ring to a phone and the auto attendant still answers even on that line. That rules out the bad module theory I had.

I'm thinking it might be a software release compatibility issue between 2.1 and 7.0.

This may a stupid question, but you are setting lines 61 and 62 to no in the call pilot AA. I only ask because in your last post, you make reference to line 1. That may only be the name assigned to Line 61.

That's the only reason I can think of why an AA would continue to answer.

Yeah, I set 61 and 62 to auto attendant answer "no". The auto attendant still answers. I thought it might be a module issue so I shut off auto answer on line 1 and it does the same thing (incorrectly answers the line).

I only did that to single out if the problem was on the module lines or system wide.

Check the lines on the voice mail DN they should not appear there.

There is a compatibility issue: MICS 7.x requires CP 3.0 or higher, but this not your problem here.

Where would I find that setting?

Just like any telephone port. Do F985 to get voice mail DN.

When I do a F985 and show lines it asks if 61 and 62 are answered by AA. I will set them to "no" and the attendant will still pick up. Is there another setting in there I missed?

What happens if you move them to 63 & 64? Is there any ringing service turned on that you're not aware of? Other than that I would do like sugessted above and maybe upgrade because 2.1 is not fully compatible with 7.0.

F985 reports to you DN of the voice mail.

With that info log into the the phone system, not the voice mail.

Check two thing:

TERMINAL & SETS > The DN reported to you byt F985 > LINE ASSIGNMENT > Do a scan and make sure no lines are assigned to this DN

2nD

LINES > 061 > LINE DATA > DRT, make sure this is NONE. Do this for all lines that are active on the system.

Remember also that CICS has an internal AA, as well as the AA in the voicemail.

Roddy MacLean, Province of PEI.

Also check your operator settings as to whether the business is open or closed and answering lines. Also might want to check
services and make sure night service is not on your voicemail port.
