I need some help on installing a NIC into a NAM. The NAM is and has been up and working on my 824 DR 5.1. I have installed the NIC card and the video card and have tried loading the driver for the NIC but the system doesn't seem to be able to find the driver (the drivers are 3COM drivers. At one time exmonger had a 13 page document on installing the NIC card and I am wondering about how to get access to that document as well as the IP Lite software for changing the IP. Can anyone help with specifics about getting this LAN connection up and working? I have NRU version 10 w/VM manager 3.0 and 4.0 on it and would like to be able to get programming up and working.

i am the vendor. ihave the ITAS document (NIC for NAM, Sept. 1997). i can configure the NIC card and it looks like it takes but then when the system is reboot it hangs. it's acting like an IRQ conflict. does anyone know how to display existing IRQ assignments in OS2? there is no CMOS/BIOS display for IRQ's. not sure how to display and reassign IRQ's

Phonehed, Is that the standard answer you give is "Call your vendor" this is a help forum!

Here's some more info for anyone who can help. (I have a 4.04a copper NAM). The monitor and keyboard package are up and working fine. There aren't any dip switches in my NAM. There are 8 card slots and the first slot is not a ful ISA slot. I have tried removing the IBM parallel port driver in MPTS but the NAM reboots itself continually w/o this driver until it is re-installed. I have a 3COM ISA 3C509B NIC card. When the NIC card is configured for IRQ 9 the NAM locks up. trying to access any feature code from the phone results in an "inactive feature" display. The mouse moves on the desktop of the NAM but won't open anything. When an RMVIEW is done to display resources on the NAM nothing is using IRQ 9 but IRQ 2 says "PCI pin = none flag = exclusive PIC_1". I know that in newer OS2 machines IRQ 2 and IRQ 9 are linked but I don't know if the use of IRQ 2 in this machine has anything to do with the problem
