Nortel MICS centralized VM and DID calls

My customer has 2 MICS systems networked together with a PRI with MCDN. System A has a call pilot 150. They are using centralized voice mail. Each system also has a PRI from the service provider for C/O calls. Extensions at system B use the call pilot DN for call forward no answer. If you dial an extension on system B from system A or system B, the caller can leave a message, the message light on the phone is turned on, and the user can retrieve the message. If someone dials the same extension from outside using the DID number for the extension, the extension will ring and forward the call to the callpilot DN, but the AA answers instead of the VM greeting, so the caller cannot leave a message.
 
It's been a while but if I remember correctly there is a direct ring transfer or DRT setting that has to be set to NO
 
sorry I was thinking of NAM.

You need to log into your call pilot, go to you lines, find you DID's target line and you will most likely see that it is answering AA after 0 rings. You need to change that to no answer and ensure call forward no answer is enabled on the extension.

Check out faq799-5317 I think it will help you out. It was for the NAM but it's pretty much the same for the CP.
 
I changed the call pilot to not answer the target line from AA 0 rings to none, When I call the DID number of the extension, I get the prime set at site A.
 
I returned the call pilot to answer the target line. At location B I changed the DRT to prime from 4 rings to 10 rings. The call forward no answer is set to 4 rings. The call pilot now answers correctly for both intercom and DID calls.
