I recently deleted (by accident!) the very first phone on my hunt group of 4. The problem now is that after re-installing the phone (identically as far as I can tell) the incoming call will not 'hunt' to the next available phone in the group, just say that 'the extension you have dialled is busy, please try again later.' I have tried understanding the 8000 page manual, but to no avail! Does the first phone require to be set up as a 'pilot' DN & if so, how is this done. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

PLEASE POST THE PRINT OUT OF THE FIRST PHONE, SOUNDS LIKE YOU DON'T HAVE HTA IN THE CLS OR THE HUNT PROMPT IS INCORRECT.
BUT NEED THE PRINT OUT TO TELL YOU FOR SURE

THE FULL PRINT OUT FOR THE PHONE IS AS FOLLOWS...THE SYSTEM IS MERIDIAN 1 OPTION 11. I NOTICE THERE IS HTA IN THE CLS...

Sorry, not to reply sooner Colin, but have been out the office since yesterday. Have now sorted the problem, didn't have the first dn pointing to the next in the hunt group..! The very first and most simple task, and I should have checked. Typical !!

Thanks anyway.

Steve

Hi,
You are probably using a GHT(Group Hunt List) along with a PLDN (Pilot Directory Number) i.e. when you dial a specifice number (PLDN) this accesses a list of numbers and hunts through if calls are busy or not answered.

In LD 20 print out the GHT and in LD 57 do the following to check the PLDN

LD 57

FFC000
MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 450250 USED: 123189 TOT: 573439
DISK RECS AVAIL: 427
REQ PRT

TYPE FFC

CUST 0

CODE PLDN
