The agency that I work for has a Nortel M7310 system. It's old but as a non-profit housing provider it works and well we're happy with it for now. The only issue we have is the following.

When on night service the general directory box ( Reception ( 0 ) ) account will ring as if its not set to night service. I've gone through our manuals, my ED has gone through the manuals and we've found nothing. I'm lost on this one.

Simply put how can we put the general mailbox to limit the rings when on night service?

Try letting it ring at least 6-7 times. Chances are it is set to route to vm on 6 rings. There's a setting to change this from 6 to 4

Don't play with the Norstar's that much any more but you need to check the forward no answer and adjust the rings. I think also but not sure if you put a do not disturb button on the phone you could have it go to voicemail immediately. You can try the Norstar forum but they're not as nice as the guys in here. Wish I could find my books. Buried in the basement somewhere.
