Hi,

I have not worked on an i2002 ip phone before. I have only used the 1100's. I have an issue with a i2002 picking up the wrong vlan! On an 1120 for example i can login via the 4 soft keys, enter the password and change the VLAN. The i2002 soft keys do not respond on start up and the network key only gives me read access!!! Is there any other way of entering config mode in this type of phone?

Thanks

The 4 soft keys under the display will work when you press them on start up. It is just a timing thing. Have to do it at the right time. As soon as you see NORTEL on the display then press the keys. I just set up a 2002 set and timing is everything :)

Hi Thanks Dabble! My thoughts at first! I've sat here for an hour trying this ********. Any way, other phones on site worked OK. Just this one set!!!! I got there in the end by using the following:

Could be a timing issue or just a strange quirk!

How to soft reboot a Nortel IP set
Press the following buttons in sequence:
mute key
up arrow button
down arrow button
up arrow button
down arrow button
up arrow button
mute key
9 on the dial pad <-- after this point the phone will be in a kind of diagnostic mode - press the keys if you want
release <-- pressing the release key will drop you out of the diagnostic mode, and reboot the set

and then once the screen was in a sort of diag mode, I pressed the first soft key, the phone reset and the soft keys now work...

Who knows.... I don't care, IT WORKED!
