Hi there!
I received four Nortel i2002 phones from a really nice guy (Allan) from a local telecommunications company.
I was wondering if there was a way to get these to work with asterisNOW (asterisk 13). I did some reasarh and found out that asterisk did support the unistim protecal at one point... I'm pretty new to this and was hoping someone can lead me into the right direction onto getting these to work. (I'm also pretty young... so buying new phones that work out of the box with asterisk isn't really an option for me...)

Thanks!

I think you really need to be on the CS1K forum at

Thanks for the help. There phase 1 phones... so i guess ill have to get a BCM to use one. Anyway, thanks for your help and your time!

You don't need to update the firmware to release 3.2 (or any other release) to use the i2002 phones with Asterisk.

i2000 series phase 1 phones can be used with the open source UNISTIM channel driver included in Asterisk 1.8 and above just fine.

You should probably post these questions on the Asterisk forum:

Thanks ucxguy!

I think ill post this on the asterisk fourm then. Thanks!
