Nortel extranet client and w2k with create socket error 1

Hi all,

I'm running Windows 2K professional using a cable modem and am trying to use the Nortel extranet client to create a VPN to my company which uses IPSec.

I've installed versions 262.47, 370d and 470d. No matter what version i use, when i attempt to connect, i see "Create socket failed with 10048". Darn annoying. Any hints to solve this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks for the pointer. Indeed that did fix my problem. I had a virtual network adapter courtesy of freeware PGP. Once i got rid of it all was well.
