Nortel Extranet Access Client - Bannersock Error

I get the following error connecting to my corporate network through a Linksys Router:

Bannersock: The attempt to connect time out without establishing a connection.

I am running Win 2000 SP2 and have installed EAC V2.62. The VPN connection worked with Win 98/ME, but not with Win 2000. After getting the above error, I get the Extranet Succesfully Connected message. I can ping the firewall OK, but cannot ping anything beyond. Has anyone seen this error before?

i see the banner soc error everyday--it is for the most part unresolved

I found the problem. Turns out to be a configuration problem with the router I am using, a Linksys Cable/DSL Router. Did not have IPSec Pass Through enabled. Once enabled, worked like a champ.
