I have a customer whom wants to install a CICS system in there home. The door phone is the real issue. They do not want the door box to ring the phone more then 1 or 2 times. They also want the door phone ringing to be different then an incooming call. Can I control thru programming the ring tone for door box? Also can I control how long the phones will ring from the time the door box is pushed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Note they do not seem interested in answering the door box. They claim they know whom is exspected so they will just go to the door, very large home. Rich people go figure (ha! just kidding). Thanks.

thephoneboy,
If you are using software 6.0 or 6.1 you can program the phone that is the answer phone for the doorphone to have a distinctive ring. Not sure about how long you can set the ringing. Maybe you can forward it to a phone that is close by and can be answered quickly. Or give some extensions an answer DN for the door phone.
Dmac,

The Door Phone will ring the ext. until someone picks up the phone. Have them get a door bell.
