Hi all
Can someone please give me a definitive answer on whether or not I can set up a SIP Asterix PSTN Gateway on my r4.5 NRS.
At present I can only make calls TO my Nortel CS1k i2004 sets from the Cisco phones attached to the Asterix. I am unable to dial back from the CS1k to the Asterix.
The SIP packets have no @ IP address in the invite header.
(Please note i have replaced some info here with * to protect company identity etc!)
e.g (packet from Nortel to Asterix)
From: <sip:2224;phone-context=cdpholborn.udprc**.co.uk@mycompany.co.uk;user=phone>;tag=5b06694e-13c4-4a3f90da-663657-42cc
To: <sip:22*7296;phone-context=cdpholborn.udprc**.co.uk@mycompany.co.uk;user=phone>
e.g (packet from Asterix to Nortel) From: "020*18*010*"<sip:020*18*010*@193.***.200.***>;tag=as2c1619f1
To: <sip:020*18*4*8*@78.10*.6.**>;tag=5b06694e-13c4-4a3f9134-679702-7c3d
As you can see my packets are very different!
I have been advised that a r4.5 NRS will not work since it is only a SIP redirect not a SIP proxy....
I have attempted to add a "free" (from free.sipout.com)sip proxy as a collabrative server but this has also not worked. Before I go back to my bosses and tell them we need to spend some money a definite yes or no as to whether this can be done on r4.5 would be a big help....
1 more thing if any of you are in the mood to help me, I am only able to route CDP calls out of the CS1K at present. I have set all SPN's to use the SIP route and set up VNR. No calls other than those using CDP steering codes send any packets/requests out of the Sig Server (0 to 9 (except 2) have all been added as routing entries against the Asterix endpoint)....
Thanks in advance
