Nortel CICS with I-RAD. How to disable I-RAD answer?

At my work we have a Nortel Norstar CICS system and we are trying to setup the integrated CCR answer. I can go to F**266344 then enter the scplus 727587 password then go to system programming > AA > CCR and I am able to select which lines CCR answers. I am able to set line 2 to be answered by CCR but when I try to set line 1, I get an error sound and the display says LINE001 IRAD ANSWER.

How do I disable IRAD answer or IRAD all together? Under system programming > remote there is no option to turn off IRAD and under lines there also is no options for IRAD. We've never used IRAD before and I have a feeling I might need the installer password to access the setting but I do not know the installer password and the default installer password is not working.

Any help is appreciated!

Yes, you need the installer password to do higher level programming.

So with the installer password I will be able to remove IRAD answer for line 1?

Follow Curly's sound advice. If you don't know the CONFIG passcode, then go to the FAQ section in this forum for details on "DEBUG". As long as you are able to change the date, then you should be able to recover the passcode if it was previously changed.

If I recall correctly, the IRAD passcode or area in programming isn't where you normally expect to find it. It's been a long time ago and I thought it was in Remote Access packages or something like that?.

Sort of close...
The IRAD password actually is in the password area but you wont need it for this...go to SystemProgramming/Remote Access/IRAD to change it's answer settings.

Thanks Curly.

I knew it was "Remote Access" something for the Irad settings. We never used it in the UK as the systems were hard coded to BT's network. We got over that by using a ERAD.

The code for CICS 1.0 is CICS 1.0 C010A8; that still works for CICS 7?

What ever we say is golden...ish, don't worry about resets or double asking/verifying etc.

So I got into debug and entered memory dump then entered C010A8 for CICS

First thing i see on the screen is C010A8:00CA 00CC. I can press next and there are a ton of other codes too. I'm lost where to find the installer code?

After you entered your software version code (C010A8) you press next (or OK) and you will see: C010A8: XXXX XXXX (1 group of 8 characters)
Note the numbers in the bolded slots (ignore letters)
Then press Next again and note the bolded slots (another group of 8 characters)
XXXX XXXX

Example:
1st time you pressed next: C010A8: 0100 - 0304
2nd time you pressed next: C010A8: 0404 - 0F0F
Put the two lines together subtracting all the non bolded characters and any letters, the last 4 characters of the 2nd group is ignored be it numbers or letters
You can see in this example the password was 100444

Actually in re-reading your last post something is wrong....

C010A8:00CA 00CC

There should not be letters where numbers should be.

Double check you SP code in Maintenance then reference it to my SP code guide to get your proper software version number such as 1.0, 4.1 etc

I have CICS 6.1 so you're right I had to use a different address code (C01CEA). Got my password, tested it and it works! Thank you!!
