NORTEL CICS DISCONNECTS ON TRANSFER

I am a very seasoned NORTEL CICS TECH.
After 30 years of working on this system i still get a curve ball from time to time like now.
A usually very simple procedure is really stumping me.
I have a Nortel CICS 7.0 paired with a Call Pilot 3.1. I’m simply trying to transfer a call off premise from the CCR Tree home menu after pressing 1 From pool group 1 or A. I’ve even tried building a custom route same result. I can see it grab the line and it makes the call rings once and disconnects. I have tried priming directly to a line, same result. Allow redirect is programmed. The VM has access to the pool group of course. All lines are supervised. I’ve tried both line cards for access, I mean it actually makes the darn call but hangs up... pulling my hair out.
Maybe i’m not seeing the forest for the trees.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, so using # (Link) is not required.

Ok check list again plus some:

In CCR:
Ext Trsf - choose "Route"
Dial string "9xxx-xxx-xxxx" (Dest code plus the phone number)

Dest code = Route 009, Absorb All
Route 009 = Pool A

Lines are all Supervised
Lines are in Pool A

There are no restriction filters on the lines

Check that Max Outcalling Channels in Properties in Callpilot is at 1 and not 0 (if using F983 then from the main screen press 5)

Can you try doing an External Forward from a phone as a test?
F4 9 xxx-xxx-xxxx

Also Line Redirect
F84

I wonder if the carrier is blocking this too.

Test phone should have access to Pool A and Allow Redirect turned on.

Listen as a Caller to see if any message, busy signal or click etc to see if that gives a clue.

Tried it all over again.
I even changed the entire CICS cabinet.
It actually makes the call out.
If i put several pauses in i can actually answer the call but it will disconnect right after.
I noticed you responded to a guy back in 09 with the same issue but didn’t see the final resolve.
I checked with Spectrum and they of course couldn’t see any problems but they rarely do.
I even tried calling out the ATA port.
I CAN call forward calls off premise.
I can also conference no problem.
It just disconnects on a vm transfer...
I am beyond miffed but won’t give up!
NEVER!

1.
Can you mimic onto a spare CICS and CP (or other) and test at your office/home/friends place?
And if it works take it to site and borrow 2 lines and test.
If it does not work then probably a carrier issue with Disconnect Supervision, called something else with your carrier.

2.
Also have you verified/tested if the carrier/lines have Call transfer or 3 way calling options?

My test setup on BCM is as follows where inbound comes in on SIP lines then transferred call goes out on the analog line:

Vmail DN:
Prime Line is None
2 Intercom's
Allow Redirect is disabled
No lines assigned
No Pool Access
(vmail gets special treatment as you can see)

Line 1
Pool A
Supervised

Dialing Plan:
Destination Code 8, use Route 002, Absorb All
Routing 002 - Use Pool A, Public, no external number entered.

CCR
Path X/ExtTrsf/Route/8xxx-xxx-xxxx

Voice Mail
Max Outcalling Channels - 1

In my second test I changed ExtTrnsf from Route to Pool 1 and removed 8 in the dial string.
Same results, OK.

I have a feeling we have covered all the basis because not many are chiming in.

...almost Out of Ammo!

Thank you.
Everything you have here is like i have it.
Did you mean ALLOW REDIRECT Disabled or ENABLED on the VM DN?

Yrs also, I’m going to create the same scenario on a different set of pots lines somewhere.
I’ve considered taking my own VOIP dial tone to let it dial out on.
That’s tomorrow’s next move.

I continued all the above recommendations plus a million of my own with the problem unchanged.
I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM.
This is strange.
I set everything up to get a line from pool 1 as I normally do.
I had only one line 031 being answered by the CP100 and was set as a public line and calling out on pool1 on lines 1-4.
I decided to try letting line 004 answer on the CP100 instead of 031 and it worked and transferred out no problem.
I then when back to letting only 031 answer like i had it before and it has continued to work.
Still scratching my head on this one.
Thank you CurlyCord for all your efforts and everyone else for that matter.
Current working setup.
Vm DN 36
No lines
Pool access. Yes
Prime line. None
Allow Redirect.
Redirect.Yes

STYTEM has EXTERNAL access code of 9
Pool codes NONE.

VM setup. Pool 1
NO 9 just 10 digits

So what you are saying is you went into AA/Lines and changed them to answer then reversed??
I bet not one genius out there would have figured that would be a fix, only a nutjob would have!
[clown]

I vote corruption since lines answered has nothing to do with lines outbound plus that fact you changed it, then back again.

Secretly....I was indeed out of ammo.

Pays not to give up though!

I tried to go in an RE create the problem after that and couldn’t just to clarify what i did to fix it.
Bottom line is try calling the Call Pilot on multiple lines.
