Hi,
Has anyone invoked Secure Sockets Layer on a CCMA6 Web Server? I have upgraded 3 SCCS5 servers to CCMS6, and installed 2 CCMA servers to administer them. The set up appears to work OK, but then the customer wants to make the CCMAs use SSL. The server people have installed a certificate on both servers, and then I've used the NTP (CCMA Inst & Maint) to add SSL. It says to go to the Default Website in IIS Management, then right click on 5 files, eg default.asp, etc, go to the Security tab, then on the bottom button (edit security) and then check the "Use SSL Encryption" box. (There is an option for 128 bit, I've tried it with and without). That's all the NTP says, it says that the certificate is a Microsoft thing, so the server people just set up a certificate in certificate management on the server.

Anyway, if you go to the server using http, you get a message saying that it's a secure site, and you should go to the https version. If you go to the server using https, then you get a security warning box, click OK, and it you get a Server not Reachable page.

Has anyone managed to get this to work, or is there something special needed with the certificate. Should I have done anything else to the server, other than what the NTP says.
Thanks for any help,
Dave

Trusted site in the IE configuration on the client PC? Change the trusted site prefix from http to https? Just a thought as I have never dealt with SSL on servers running Nortel applications.

Thanks for replying! Yes, I've set the https name in Trusted sites, it mentions that in the NTP. It doesn't even work from the server desktop.

It seems strange, it can see it's secure if you go via http, but it just says "unreachable" by https. I would have thought that if it was a problem with the certificate, then I would get a certificate error rather than unreachable?

check your browser settings. I think there is a few settings that needs to be looked at for allowing certificates
