I have a call pilot 150 that was installed 3 years ago. Been working okay. Had a bad storm last night. No problem with the MICS but call pilot will not come back up. I replaced the power supply but did not help.

When Booting up the 4 port light come on steady, then flash like crazy then 1 quick flash, then no light and the the 4 lights all come on. Then it seems to take for ever at least 20 minutes for the I am suppose to be working light to come on. (second down on the right) But the system still inactive.

I tested a phone in the voice mail ports they worked okay. I can see stk1 in maitanance for the voice mail ports.
When you pysically call the voice mail port it gives you a busy signal.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Sincerely, thephoneboy

Did you see if it was defaulted - check 9*1 and see if there is any codes there. You will want to check **XFTEST and see if there are any codes there.

I have a call pilot that will lose all programming after an outage and then I have to reconfigure the whole thing.

It turns out i was able to log in by calling the voice mail extention. But non - of the feature codes worked. Tech support told me to roboot MICS an dthe power up CP150. So I guess I will try thst. Thanks.

I did try F903 and F9*3 says inactive.

I am sorry what does F**XFTEST tell you? I have not seen that before. It is not listed on Feature codes sheet. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

Feature 9*1 shows all the codes a F999. It will notlet me change them. I have tried all possible feature codes. I have also used **xftest. It tells me that all feature codes are inactive except 904 908. But when I use them it says not allowed.
So to summarize:
I can access voice mail thru dialing the extension. I can log into mail boxes. I can transfer a call to a phone have it ring 4 times and go to voice mail. The AA answers calls okay and tranfers them etc. Non of the feature codes will work but the voice mail still functions. Oh yeah ! I can also log in via PC and every thing looks like it should all mail boxes, greeting and all.

I cannot seem to restor ther feature codes. Pretty wild one. Thanks foryour thoughts and comments.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

Unplug the call pilot run the xf test and remove all the voice mail feature codes then uplug the call pilot back in and it will reload the feature codes back onto the ksu.

Okay so you are saying I can erase the Feature code from phone system an upon reboot. It will make me redo them.

So I should delete f980, f981, f082, f983, f984, f985 and f986? Am my missing any codes I should delete.

Have you ever done this before?

thanks, I will try and go by tommorrow and see what I try it. Thanks. It sounds like a good idea. just never heard of it being done.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

I like Itas1's idea. Don't forget Ftr 987, 989.

I've dont that more than a few times ...

power off the CP (do a backup prior to that just in case)
f**xftest - all codes will come as inactive, remove them
power on the CP

Is the old power supply an 8 or 9 volt? The old 9v supplies would slowly kill the CP. Besides that, I'd make sure all their phone equipment is on a UPS. They do more than maintain power. They're protect from surges better than any surge protector you can buy.

Okay Guys,
I did remove the faeture codes with call pilot unpluged as mentioned by Itas1 posting. It fixed it. Thanks you. while the logic made since. even Nortel tech support told me not to do it. I thank you and my custoemr thanks you. The system came up in just 5 minutes and all worked fine.

HiGuys,

For all those that helped me back when this post was presented. The same system has just reported to have lost its access codes again. I can call vocie mail extension and access vocie mail. I can be trafered to an extension and CFNA to a voice mail box but all feature codes are inactive.

I will try the same thing I did last time. And let you know. I guess I am trying to figure out how/why this has happeded again. The system is on a UPS. They did lose power this week end. Phone system came up fine. Voice mail has this issue.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

If it lost programming, you might want to try feature 903, then chose features 980-987. Check voltage of the power supply.

Could not do Feature 903 or 9*1. It is a new power supply. I did the **xftest. Turned oof the faeture codes. Rebooted phone system and then booted voice mail. Codes came back up okay. Thanks for allyour help.

Sincerely, thephoneboy

I would also suggest that you upgrade the sofware of the Call Pilot to the latest Version 31.10.31.22.

Sounds maybe like a weak link between CP and KSU.
Try changing CP to another set of ports on KSU and change mod cords (any wiring).
