Hi I am completely new to Nortal and BCM. I moved ext 233 to a new location which had 230 previously on it the 233 is still working fine.
so I moved 230 to a new location. From there it can only make calls but cannot receive calls. The dialing person gets not in service msg. and it shows as inactive in Nortel Business Element Manager. How to make this phone work properly again. Please help.

Best to find out what the extension number is by pressing the Feature button and *0 followed by the intercom key to view the extension number. Also then press ~ to view the port number.

You might have moved the wrong extension number?.

Make sure Set relocation is on too.
If its Off then put the phone back the way they were , turn it On then move the phones.

If you do that Feature * 0 trick then 233 should still be 233, if so then Set Relocation is ON already so disregard in that case.

Yes, sounds like extension "230" is not really 230 at all. You can make an intercom call from one set to another and see the calling set's extension number in the called set's display too.
