Nortel BES 50 (FE) vs (GE)

Hello there, I'd like to get a backup BES 50 for a current BES 50 GE that I currently own running a small 5 1140E IP phone network.

I found a unit online with the credentialsroduct Identifiers

I see that the unit is a Fast Ethernet Model, while my latest one is Gigabit Ethernet.

Other than a small fraction of reduced speed, will this BES50 FE switch support a BCM50 phone system with IP phones?

Should be no issues at all. The BCM only has a 100MB interface. While the 1140s are gigabit, they'll negotiate to 100MB and work fine.

Thank you for your helpful response. I was able to get a BES50 on ebay for $50 new in the box.....it will be good to have on hand, just in case.
