Hey all,
I am trying to figure out how to route operator calls (if a caller hits 0 during the auto-attendant message) to route to a group of phones (would this be a ring group or hunt group?) then go to the general delivery mailbox. Right now, it is setup to ring a single extension if somebody zeros out and they leave a message on her line. They have no dedicated operator any more.

Thanks so much. I am new to Nortel!

Mike

you would want to use a hunt group. assign the group of phones to a hunt group, then direct 0 to the hunt group DN

Makes sense. Then would you overflow it to the general delivery mailbox number?

overflow it to the vmail dn. since there will be no mailbox the same as the hunt group dn, it will automatically go to the general vmail box.

make sure you change the operator in the table and the feature 982 settings

WORK SMART NOT HARD

make sure you change the operator in the table and the feature 982 settings

Thanks you for your addistions stsguy! I'll give this a crack shortly...

Thanks again everybody, it is appreciated!
Mike

Okay, where do you change the 982 feature code?

press feature 982 then the password (in the manual)
then go to the attendant setting and change to the huntgroup dn

So it has to be done from the phone? No way to do it in the Elements Manager or web tools?

in the call pilot manager
under Operations then Operator Settings
change the Attendant dn

Thanks fireeater. That's where I thought it was, but I was under the impression that it had to be changed in multiple locations.

Thanks again!
