Our system for a non-profit centre used to have an external line direct to a hunt group that would go directly to a department's voicemail. After reprogramming of some phones that are not part of the hunt group, any external calls that come in through the direct line now go to the voicemail for the reprogrammed phones. Internal calls to the hunt group still go to the appropriate voicemail. What could cause this issue & how can i fix.

That line must be assigned to these new phones and needs to be remove.

Hi Cook, This might help explain a bit better:

Our DID to intake is on line 621, it is only assigned to the hunt group for that department. The programming changes I made added our main line to all 4 reception phones (instead of the 2), which is line 641. Calls that come in to the DID for intake (line 621) ring on the proper hunt group, but go to the voicemail for reception.

Any ideas

It goes to mailbox 5991 which is the same extension as the hunt group. DN is 3000

So the controlling DN for that mailbox is HG 5991

3000 is probably vmails DN.

Find our what Line or Target Line is assigned to HG 5991 and remove that line from the new sets you programmed.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the delay, I moved to a new role and haven't had a moment to update.

The target line for 5991 does not go to the sets I programmed. Never has. The calls are correctly routed to 5991 hunt group, just not voicemails.

I can not set the controlling set as HG 5991. The controlling set must be an actual extension. All our lines have 5900 as the controlling set, and their voicemails operate fine.

calls transferred internally to the 5991 hunt group go to the voicemail properly. it is only calls placed on the DID that go to the wrong voicemail. Could this be a call pilot issue?

Hello,

Curlycord: I tried this and the issue wasn't solved.

I had to make some changes to voicemail inboxes and took a look at custom call routing. Calls for the hunt group were being forwarded to our general mailbox. This has been repaired.

Thank you everyone for your input and help! It has been greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Steven
