I need to know what the conference bridge capabilities are between the Nortel BCM version 3.7 and version 4.0. Specifically I need to know how many can be on a conference call and how many conference calls can be set up simultaneously on the same system

3.7 there is no confrence bridge maximum of 3 parties including the originating caller.

4.0 you can have lots more not sure of the exect amount check NTP's, But you can add more intercom keys to sets ie....4 intercom keys can hold 5 callers in confrence including originating set. also Nortel added a new feature code that does the same function if you do not have enouph keys for intercoms. I tried it out works cool it combines multiple calls onto on intercom key.

Is called add-hoc conference and it's done the same way you would conf. now except on the soft key it will say next call. Also you don't need more intercom keys.Total on a system is 40.And it's not a bridge where callers call into it,you do the calling.

does anyone know what the difference in conferencing is between 3.7 and 4.0 Also, can you have more than one conference going at a time. I'm quoting a system and the customer wants to know the diffence.

4.0 is any number of calls with a maxiumum number of parties involved being 40.

3.7 i dont know the maximum # of calls, but each call was limited to only 3 parties
