Just moved into my new job home. Im just a net admin hacking away at a phone system, people who installed wont help on anymore. I have minimal phone experience.

Stupid question which i hope has a easy answer.

When system is in night mode, hunt group doesnt work correctly . Hunt group seems to have all extensions in it,except of course voicemail extension, but if a call comes in, its one ring to the hunt group than straight to voicemail.

Your Night Mode is probably set up to send the call to Vmail on 1 ring. This is done so people calling after hours don't have to wait for Vmail, since no one is there anyway.

You need to decide what you want to have happen at night and write back.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Want i want to have happen is simple, ring all phones in the hunt group until someone picks up. We are a 24/7 operation but no one person will be at no one extension, needs to ring all extensions until someone picks up

Then take it out of Night Mode. If Night Mode is set to manual, only 1 telephone (Control set) can activate it. Go to that telephone and press Ftr #871. If your Night Mode is set to automatic, you need to turn it off in programming.

Should have been more clear, sorry. Its setup on one phone, on a button so we push that sends it into night mode. If we take it out of night mode, will not do hunt group.Just rings at that one location than goes to VM.

So, in Night Mode it acts like you want, out of Night Mode it just rings to Vmail?

That is correct, in night mode its acting correctly. Out of night mode, the phone rings only at the main number than kicks to voicemail.

The same theory applies, when in Night Mode calls go on single ring to Hunt Group DN, instead of Vmail DN like most applications. If leaving in Night Mode is a problem you need to make your incoming DID or multiple copper lines ring directly to your Hunt Group DN.
