Hello,
My apologies in advance as I am a novice on anything Telephony. I had a request from my office Manager to get a Cordless phone for our receptionist. The phone works and it rings when outside calls come in but now, all calls are forwarded to the General VM and only rings once so she can;t really answer any calls. I am sure this is something I caused when I programmed the new Cordless handset but I can't find it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do feature 985 on the reception phone to see what extn is used for the voicemail
Then check your new extn and see if its forwarded to this extn.

Remove call forwarding.

They are both forwarded to 418 (VM) but for calls that are not answered. I did a Feature #4 on both and just for good measure, no dice.

Pri? If so check that the target lines are not set as express messaging lines

Also make sure dnd is off

I FIGURED IT OUT! Somehow, the button that was used for Night ringing lost its programming and the receptionist did not know how to turn it of using the feature button. I found the clue on the following site:

I appreciate all your help on this as I said, I am somewhat new to this type of stuff!
