I have a question regarding outgoing CLID on a Nortel.

My internal extension ranges are 84XXX and 85XXX. My D.I.D. ranges from telco are 822-4001 and 563-5001. I am translating these numbers to 84XXX and 85XXX in the IDC table.

Is there a way to program the CLID table with only having two (2) entries to accommodate this? I really do not want to program a CLID entry for every phone. I know other vendors address this issue, but I have not been able to find a solution for the Nortel.

I think you have a problem there, why did you it that way?

Inherited it.

This is just one sight of 30 plus sights and we use 5 digit dialing plan. Really didn't want to build that many CLID table entries, and was hoping someone had run into this before, however, Nortel doesn't allow you to modify the outgoing CLID, whereas, Cisco ( I hate saying that word) allows you to mask your outgoing CLID.
