Hi everyone~

I have a Norstar MICS 4.1 with a NAM voicemail. Problem is some cellphone callers say they get to AA, then try to key in ext.# but fails or directs them back to AA. Thay also say hitting 0 for operator recycles them back to AA. Any ideas?

Thanks

If it works for land line users then obviously an issue with cell phone or cell phone carrier.
Have then enter digits slowly as well press them longer by a half second and see if that helps because if you just press it quickly it might miss the entry while homing in on cell tower.

Thanks Curlycord for your reply. I did a couple of test calls from my cellphone (apple Iphone5) and no problems, able to reach party. Was told they needed a new Callpilot 150 because it will receive all tones from cellphones. This is from a TAC center. I question their findings since all signals are DTMF. and most get through..! Your thoughts?

Thanks

find out if the cell phones that are having the problems have the same carrier. verizon, at&t ect. cell phone carriers lease thier services to sub carriers.the auto att may be recieving repeated digits.

WORK SMART NOT HARD

If DTMF works consistently with landline phones and most cell carriers - it's likely either the user, their phone, or the carrier (especially if using a very lossy compression codec between phone and tower).

I have one customer out there who says when he calls in with his cell phone to check voice mail on a BCM - he hears nothing. It's only him - no one else. Told him to either get a new phone and/or change carriers. Can't see them replacing a phone system because one user is in love with his crappy cell phone.
