I have a vendor install duel T1 card and defined the tie trunk on that T1. for some reason the ALARM STATUS is RED and it does not communicate for our CISCO phone system. Please help. Thanks.
Do you have a loopback jack? If so unplug the patch cord from the cisco end and put the loop on it to see if things start working. If not work your way through all the connections until either your loop back works or you prove the hardware/programming is the issue. You might want to do the same thing towards the Cisco too to make sure that works.
Red Alarm signifies that the hardware is not recieving a valid T1 signal. Verify your cable connections, make sure the loop is enabled, and then test with a loop back plug (You want to loop your transmit from the Dual PRI back into the receive).
Swap the transmit and recieve pairs on one end. Both PBXs are wired to connect to telco. Swap Pins 1 and 2 with 4 and 5 on the 8 conductor modular connector.
i am sorry, i am not at the site, but i think the vendor define it wrong. I think it should be a PRI TRK and not a DTI. we have a tie trunk to option 11C which is working fine. I think this should be the same. please see the definition for the CISCO.

I assume you are on a large system since the vendor installed a dual pri. Do you have a MSDL card in the system, or do you recall the tech. telling you their were daughterboards?
red alarm doesn't have anything to do with d-channel. One or the other of your vendors has to flip the transmit and receive on their equipment. a pri will float to a reqular
T-1 if both are esf/b8zs. they won't talk but they will float.
