Nortel 61c pbx

Can anybody tell me what ld it is to make a name change on a 500 set. Do they have user guides for option 61 and 81 pbx on line?

LD 95.

I usually out the name first, then build it as new. Sometimes if the new name is shorter than the old name, you end up with the new name followed by characters from the old name.

There are user guides on nortel's website, but you may need secure credentials in order to download them.

All you need to do is sign up as a guest to enable you to download the manuals.

As far as the old name being appended the reason for that is you are not entering the new name correctly.

The old name was entered as first,last and you have been entering the new name as first last. You must put the comma in to tell the system you are done with the first name and moving on to the last name.

I thought thats what it was, but when I do a name then I get cust # I put 0 and I get sch code of 2102.

Thanks all, I've been out of the game for over 5 yrs and used to have all the hard copy user guides, and just recently got rid of them all. Now, of course, I'm back in it.

if your using dynamic name storage then you may have to out the name and put the new one in via the new command

all names in the box live in ld 95.. you can new/chg from a link in ld 10, 11 and 20 by changing the dn or scr/mcr key and chg or new at the name prompt
