Nortel 3905 phone

I have a Nortel 3905 phone that during a transfer does not display swap-connect to either change to the original caller or complete the transfer and am stumped as to why, but during a conference it does? Not sure why that would be?

Most likely the firmware needs to be updated.

This may or may not help. Had a similiar issue on Rel 5.5 with 3904's sets and t1 ld service. The LD carrier was voip with a serial T1 handoff to the switch. After a call was placed the 3904 transfer would not display when needed. It was due to the voip carrier signal for their T1 not sending the final call setup to the CS. So the system was in a "wait atate" expecting a call setup completion but still allowed the speech path through. Oddly the M2616's were fine and had no issues. Its the design of the 3904's that require the screen change. Nortel had a patch at the time which bypassed the timer after a certain duration and allowed the call to complete. You stated you had 3905's but their similiar. Rel 7.5 Ive not seen the issue. Good luck.
