Nortel 2600 contivity recovery diskette

Help Please ...... our Nortel ES2600D (DM1401053) Contivity VPN Switch Recovery Diskette is corrupt and we cannot set unit back to factory defaults or get into the admin console at all.

Anybody out here have a 2600 recovery diskette that could zip up and e-mail for a reset for us ?

If memory serves me correctly the recovery diskette still requires the username and password. I'm not sure you can recover a lost username and password without RMAing the unit back to Nortel.

What version of software are you running?

I am having exactly the same problem. I want to reset my Nortel VPN and i still have the recovery disk but i do not remember the password i changed years back.

Couuld you help me? It is the same model too.

If you go to

you can download the PDF on how to reset the Contivity password. Note this process defaults the box and if you have a disk based unit you need a boot floppy.
