I am attempting to connect an analogue cordless phone to a 2050 soft phone running on a PC as recommended by Nortel using an ALGO ATA adapter I have configured the adaptor to run as European Class 1 as recommended on the ALGO site. However, when I try to dial out, though I get a dial tone on the cordless phone and the soft phone shows that a connection is made, I cannot dial any digits from the analogue phone, though I can dial successfully from the soft phone when the cordless has raised a line. The cordless is set to tone dialling and works perfectly through the soft phone apart from dialling numbers, once a number is dialled using the keyboard, the rest is perfect. I have tried another phone, the same result

What version of the IP Softphone 2050 are you using? If you are running v3, then you need the latest 3.01.0062.

Hi

We are running version 3.00.0197, thanks for this I'll get the latest version and see if it makes a difference

After downloading version 3.1 of the soft phone everything works fine

That's worthy of a star -- thanks for the info, Gwebster.
