I have a customer with a Nortel 0x32 with Mics 4.1 SW and in the last couple of months when the Receptionist at Ext 100 voice calls another extension, that extension is unable to answer the voice call but the intercom channel on that phone flashes like there is a call on hold and the only way to get rid of it seems to be power cycling the phone system. Unplugging that phone doesn’t help. The intercom button is not flashing on the receptionist extension. We’ve tried adding more intercom channels on the receptionist extension and that didn’t help. Has anyone ever experienced this or have any ideas?

Thanks

I know it sounds simple but the first thing you should do is check the button or buttons on the receptionist phone to make sure it is not sticking. They sometimes stick and it is really hard to tell. If she has a voice call button programmed on her phone pull it off and reseat it. I have had tons of service calls for stuff like you are reporting only to be a sticky button. Honestly the intercom should never be an issue unless your system is dieing and it does not sound like that is the issue. Good luck

Sincerely, thephoneboy
