I have two Norstars linked together with the VoIP and it works great. You can dial then extesion on the other side. you can transfer a call to the otherside by pressing transfer extension number and join. What I need it to do is if AA answers I need to be able to dial an extesion on the otherside and AA transfer the call. If MICS can do centerlized VM should you not be able to transfer to an extension on the ohter side? Please help if anyone has sugestions.

Thanks

Allan

Yes it can work. DTMF can be transported to the other side if the VOIP is set up properly. We do it all the time.

Yes but when you try to dial it out of AA it comes back and tells you that it is not a valid extension. At least that is the problem that I have.

smartwire the centralized VM works with the Private Dialing Plan and you can only do that on a PRI. The Gateways are seen as normal Loop start lines to the MICS so they will not allow you to set them up as CDP. I'm trying the same thing in the test lab I'll let you know if I find a back door.

How do you call the extension on the other side now? (ie. dial 7 then extension or just dial ext)
Did you try putting in the remote extension as the AA.
Maybe you can setup a phone on your side that is forwarded to the other side, if the AA won;t do it directly.

If I dial from site A then all I need is the extension number for site B. But the voice mail does not see it as a valid extension unless it is part of a CDP.
