Lookin for some insight on this.Can someone tell me the procedure for changing out the NVRAM from release 1.0 to 3.0 and performing the software upgrade from 4.1 to 7.1 without loosing all of my data.I am getting conflicting answers about this system cold starting with a new nvram card.This is a maxed out MICS and I would like to be able to do this without a bottle of asprins.Please help.Thanks

Take a look here, but first you should do a backup of your system.

To swap out an NVRAM power down, swap the NVRAM then power up.
Then proceed with your upgrade.

Thats the route I think I am going to take.Never cared for software upgrades especially with this large of a system,but Ive backed it up,got paper recocords,the upgrade kit and I think I'll get a large pizza to pick at all evening while I work.We'll see how it goes.Thanks
