Morstar MICS with a fiber NAM. Recorded the greetings, built and saved Tree 1, Answer Lines yes 4 rings, voicemail set to 6 rings, transfer callback set to 6 rings.

Calls transferred to an extension ring 6 times and then roll to the AA/CCR Tree not their Voicemail.

I didn't try making the transfer callback more than 6 rings as I got that idea on the way home.

Is that the problem? Or is there something else I'm overlooking.

Thanks All!!!

What is the MICS version. Willing to bet it's 5.0. NAM will need to be patched if it is.

Who to call for a patch (Phoenix, AZ.) or to open more channels; it's only got two channels open now. Any ideas as to why it's doing what it's doing? What part needs to be patched?

Thanks for writing!

Ok... I've discovered that both (fiber) NAMs work fine with another MICS that I have setup on the wall in my garage; so it is a conflict of some kind.

Client Norstar PBX is Rel 01 - XC 5.0 Transfer to Voice Mail Redirects back to CCR Tree.
Capabilities: CFNA to Voice Mail 4 Rings. Transfer Callback set to 5 Rings.

Garage Norstar PBX is Rel 01 - DR 4.1 Transfer to voice mail works fine.
Capabilities: CFNA to Voice Mail 4 Rings. Transfer Callback set to 4 Rings.
Client NAM is 4.4.04A

The weird thing is that when I did a startup, only PBX and DID prompts came up.

I'll look around for updated software. No software keys in the client machine.

Thanks!

As noted above you need the patch to turn off the redirect DN feature in the NAM. The patch is loaded on a floppy disk. You boot up the NAM with the floppy disk inserted to load the patch. It only takes a few seconds.

Additional channels can still be obtained.

Client NAM is 4.4.04A"
Most likely a typo
4.0.04A known as 4.0

"Soon as you log into F983 what do you see when you press 8?"
Unanswered still

Your issue is the NAM software is not playing well with MICS 5.0 as Marv stated....therefore the patch.
