Norstar says" exiting the system" when pressing ** for remote voicemail.

The title says it all but a Norstar that has been running since the beginning of time now says "exiting the system" when you call the main number and press **. The voicemail is up and running and i can dial users extensions and reach their mbox's.

Go to:
Via telephone: F983/AA/GRT/AA/Change Return To AA to Y
or
Via Web Browser: Auto Attendant/General Properties/ Check "Return to AA"

Update:It turns out that the entire voicemail was full. The entire agency is working remotely and haven't cleared their messages. I rebooted the voicemail and I thought I lost it but after 25 mins the system came back. I am able to press ** and retrieve messages remotely.
Learn something new every day.

Make sure to also check the General Delivery mailbox number 10, 100 or 1000 or higher
Usually the GD is associated with X221.
