I gang

I have a Meridian Norstar with a flash Voice mail.
The Flash has gone done several times. And has worked fine after being rebooted.
However an odd problem has now ocucured. The Flash Voicemail went down.
After rebooting it. It seems to have reset itself to default.
Another weird issue is that the Norstar PBX will now not except any of the feature codes . The clock still has it's correct time. and all other programming seems to be there.

ie. feature 983 981 982 etc etc.
Any help would be appreciated

Bill

Either it is dead or you may have to reconfigure the flash. Try F983 and config.
Also check F985 to see if the Norstar 'sees' the flash.
wirednet

also try doing f**xftest password is config and check the feature codes to see what is active. Also I have had problems with 2.0.0 software doing wierd things like this.

Sorry for the typos

I meant Hi gang

after following your suggestions the following occured

983 first gave me Serial number after I rebooted it
in the lcd it said "VM/VM1 AFTER A SECOND TIME DIALING FEATURE 983

903 FEATURE INACTIVE
985 FEATURE INACTIVE

if you dial the voice mail extensions directly ie.. intercom extension 375

you hear the voice prompt : "PLEASE ENTER YOUR MAIL BOX NUMBER FOLLOWED BY YOUR PASSCODE"

HOPE THIS HELPS

BILL

Follow scanjet's advice it looks like your lower Feature codes are active.

okay I did f**xfest

how do i check which feature codes are active

and how will this tell emif the flash mail is working

push the button under first then write them down as you scroll through them if you press test it will check the codes status

Odds are your flash did reset to factory default. If you hit F903, and it gave you a feature list, you'll have to reprogram from scratch.

thank for all the help. the flash is back up. i think it defaulted

Bill

you should check the software version it may be bad if it is you will be go back again

Thank you all so much . For your help. I was able to default the system and rebuild the hold thing.

One quick question..Well two. Does the flash have a history of losing it's programming?

And is there a way to minimize it's occuurence

Thanks,

Bill
