I have a Norstat MICS with a PRI. Currently, the teleco is sending 5 DNI digits and the Norstar is programmed to recieve 5 digits.
Some new numbers that are being ported to my PRI end in 9XXXX. Becuase 9 is my outdial code, I can't program the switch to handle DNI numbers beginning with 9. I would like to increase the number of digits that I am recieveing in order to accomodate these new numbers.
I know how to program the Norstar for this. If my telco starts sending more digits (8 digits, for instance) before I reprogram the Norstar, how will the Norstar (currently programmed for 5 digits) handle the calls? Will it only look at the last 5 digits, or will it fail to associate the calls with their intended target lines?
