I need a little help wiring this system to use a external source for music"radio" while clients are "on hold".

Thank you for your time!!

WHAT TYPE OF NORSTAR DO YOU HAVE OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

the system is a nortel: Norstar plus compact ics

on an compact its the ICS external line amp connector pins 48 and 23 or Vi/green green /violet. hook your music sourse to that

we have located wires (vg/gv) and pin outs and tested it on the external line amp connector, but unfortunately when we go to enable the feature it errors out stating "Feature not available". Is there something on the administrative side that has to be programmed for this feature?

Thanks for all your help so far.

It is in the Config(techs) side of programming,
Feat**config, pasword=config
Press NEXT untill System Programming
Press Show
Press Next until Feature Settings
In there you will find Music on Hold and Background Music settings.
