We currently have a Norstar Plus System with Flash and I am trying to figure out how to get to the restriction menu to allow long distance numbers. I followed from what I have read but there is no filters option once you go into the restrictions menu. I was told this is because there a more higher up password that needs to be used however the phone guy that setup is no longer in business and cannot be located. Is there a main master password that I can use and/or reset it somewhere? Also what is involved with getting out system to display caller id? Thanks
for all your help..

Eddie

Eddie, I think for anyone to answer this for you, you should post your Visa or Mastercard account number.
Kind of the same type of deal. We don't know who you are.
You might be a user trying to get past your restrictions.

am the person that happens to be incharge of the system at this point. The reason why I want to take them off is because the phone company has just setup out lines with account codes for the long distance so we no longer need the phone to stop people. But whatever I was just coming looking for help because I have already had a nortel supporting vender come out here twice and he could not figure it out either so I am at loss as to what to do next. Can you at least tell me the steps I would have to do to get caller id to work. The system version number is 5.0 if thats helps

Thanks
Eddie

Actally I believe the system coordinator password is the default one. I can see all the menus in the manual menu map but I cannot locate filters. I know it has to be there somewhere.

Your vendor must straighten it out, & you shouldn't be charged for the other visits- or put them out & find one with a little experience.

Marv01 and Sphoneman are right. As for the CLID, it may or may not be supported on your hardware. If you have analog trunks, look at your line cards in the KSU. If they are labled 'CI', you're good to go. If they say 'LS', CLID won't work.
