Hello everyone!

I have a little issue on a MICS. The voicemail is not kicking in when dialing an extension. It gets redirected to the primary phone instead of voicemail.

Is there anything that I can check visually on the MICS to make sure that the voicemail is turn on?

Many thanks!

Jesus Angel

what happens if you do F985 from the phone? If it says inactive feature then your voicemail is down.

When trying the Feature 981 it says Inactive Feature.
None of the calls are not able reach voicemail.

Thanks!

It looks like the voice mail is down have you tried to reboot it?

Hello Hawks,

I have not try rebooting it. I was doing a little research before heading to the client.

This is what happened day before yesterday. We were called to installed an additional extension set. I found the next available one (231) and the keyset worked fine. I just assigned Line 003 to this keyset. But yesterday I received a workorder saying that ever since we placed the new phone the voicemail is not working.
Could we moved a wired for voicemail on the phone room?

Thanks again!

I did the External Feature Test xftest to identify and remove leftover codes on KSU memory.
The features show Free now. This did not took care of my situation. I have not rebooted the Nortel MICS yet. Im afraid that it would lose any programming.

The Capillot 100 led lights on ports 1 and 2 are flashing rapidly all the time.

Unplug the line cords from the CP and plug a phone onto them and see if the phone comes up. If not then you may have a bad port on the KSU if that's the case just find 2 good ports with a phone and use those. But to answer your wuestion yes you could have used the CP port when you added the new phone, you may want to check the wiring there.

I plugged in the phone and it works. I rebooted the CP 100 and nothing.
The two status lights for the rj11 ports are just flickering very fast.
The power supply tested good with the multimeter. It shows 8.5v.

go find yourself another CP and start programing

8.5v i take it you have a 9v power supply? If so they were defective the replacement PS was 8vdc.

Everything points to be the CP 100. If it is, how would I reconfigure everything? everything is done on the keyset? Like Creating the recordings like directory names, voicemail recordings, and Auto Attendant.

Thanks in advanced!
