I recently took over an account with a MICS 7.0 software. The company that maintained the system changed installers passcode.
Verizon was the existing company. Tried to contact Verizon and getting code is impossible. No one know anything.

Since Avaya bought Nortel, there is no tech support unless you are a partner for Avaya. I am a certified technician on all Nortel products except Merridian PBX and CS-1000. I need a way to get into installers programming to make changes.

If your a certified Nortel technician or even a technician that is familiar with Norstar then you should know the answer already but I will help you out a bit anyway.

Answers:

1 - use the debug procedure
2 - short out the battery

I didn't want to wipe out the programming. So I'll use a fast rad and go in that way using browser tool. Thanks for your comments anyway

Contact me privately so we can discuss resetting the password on the system.

If you can change the date by using low level password then you can proceed the DEBUG and you will be able to recover the INSTALLER PW.

simply use a fastrad and nru11 and you will be able to view and reset the password
