norstar mics 4 fax

New to Norstar.

I have MICS 4.1 and voicemail 4.0 and fiber disconnected yet lines get picked up by fax tones after many rings?

Wonder if previous user had fax installed? removed it and sold to me??

How to stop this?

What fiber is disconnect?
Is their a RAD or ATA on the system also?
Is it the main line that gets answered?
How many rings until answered?

The fiber is the cable between voice mail computer and MICS.

I do have a RAD and an ATA

Yes I asume main line. I have only 1 in and outgoing line.

Picks up after many rings 20 seconds or more....

Most likely the RAD, in RAD programming F9** you can tell it to answer and also the ring count. Turn it off.
If a tech needs to dial in they can be transferred by the attendant.

Don't understand much about system yet. I now asume the RAD has a modem in it? I figured you would need to connect an external modem to the RS232 jack on the RAD
