I have a Norstar CICS 16 phone 8 port phone system

i did a reset on the phones and have the DN starting at 221

the system has 2 DS cards in it which i take it thats what makes it 8 ports.

on my flash voicemail i have to rj11 ports that read 2 and 4

can some one please tell me where these punch down to. is it trunk side or the DN side. also how in a nutshell do i program voicemail. I think i need to turn on B1 or B2 what ever they are

Thanks in advance!

On the flash they all read 2 and 4 you need a daughter card to activate the port 4 remove plastic cover and see if card is there.
Anyways connect the last port if 2 or the last 2 if a 4 port. Does not have to be those ports I think it is just a standard to keep the extension numbering sequential if you have to add more phones.

thanks for the quick reply the card is in the box it has a four on it. so i need to plug to single pair wires from the flash to the last two ports on the DN side of the system so ports 15 and 16?
