Norstar Feature 986 Can't turnoff

I accidentally had something fall on my phone here at work and it set the phone as feature 986. My problem is I cannot turn it off. I tried Feature + # 986 and it did not work. In stead it rings to another extension and I can't turn it off. Any help would be appreciated! It is our main line and we cannot dial out!

Stuck button maybe? Feature 986 is transfer to voice mail usually. so not a feature that you turn on and off. does it just say feature 986 in the display?

The button appears not to be stuck. Yes it does show feature 986 on the display.

Have you tried unplugging the phone and re-plugging?

I am thinking reboot the system, that's odd since F986 usually times out.

I agree with norstarboy. The buttons may not appear to be stuck but they can be. Hold down the Release key and run your fingers or the palm of your hand over ALL the buttons.

Ha! Just tried that and all the lines started to ring off the hook. When we picked up the lines it was still ringing! We had to unplug and replug all the phones to make it stop.

I unplug it and plug it back in. How can I do a reboot? Everytime I press a button all the lines ring.

It sounds most like a stuck button or a defective phone.

I will take it you mean the phone then.

To reboot the system unplug the power cord (grey cord) from phone system.

Best to call a tech in.
