Hi,

Does anyone have an installer manual for NCP?

I need to understand where to punch down AUX Analogue telephone lines as i'm confused what the previous installer did!

The system is old but working and release version 3 with two Analogue Trunk cards

Thanks,

KG

It's version 3 release, can't find installer manual anywhere!

This is great and will help alot. However what I need is technical manual for the following see picture.

I need to understand why the connections for
Master Line TX202
and
AUX L32

What wront with TX 203 or RX203

The actual problem is I have 3 lines
1 x Master analogue xxxxxx 7777
2 x Aux analogue xxxxxx 7777

Upon picking up Line 1 master all is good, but lines 2 and 3 on 7777 plugged into RX203 TX204
it takes a few goes to get a dial tone.

There for I wonder if I should use L32, some one mentioned this here:

I really need clarification but the installer manual would best.

Many Thanks Brian for your help in this matter.

Regards,

Kal.

I've just seen this thread. Brian, you should have contacted me. Haha. I do have a few PDF's for the UK Compact plus systems that ran from release 3 to release 5. Follow my link if you want a copy.

I forgot to say in more detail about the problem. The lines were shown on two Krone strips as you had in the photo. The Compact Plus systems could support two 4 port Analogue line cards or two ISDN 30 cards or even a mixture of the two.

If you look closely at the photo, you can just see on the circuit board the printed writing such as
RX 201 or TX 201 etc.

Numbers (Ports) 201 to 204 refer to lines 001 to 004 on the Norstar and I seem to recall that ports 301 to 304 refer to lines 031 to 034.

The reason why the lines are so far apart was because your ISDN 30 trunks are in blocks of 30 lines that we have in the UK.

Therefore you need to connect to the correct port number for each line and the layout on the krone strip isn't in order. I think we were going to have BRI lines for the UK market, but it was never released which is why you have TX and RX for each line.

I seem to recall some confusion when connecting the analogue trunks onto the krone strip. I'm sure that we normally connect to the TX side, but I think there are some cases where it's labelled wrongly and we have to use the RX side.

Having read my old release 3 manual, it does look that BRI was allowed on the UK systems and I previously gave out the wrong ports for lines 031 to 034 as it states that they are ports 231 to 234.
It was the Modular system that was assigned ports 301 onwards.

I should have said that on the Norstar compact plus system were two card slots.
slot 1 right hand side had lines 001 to 004 (or 030 ISDN 30)
slot 2 left hand side had lines 031 to 034 (or 060 ISDN 30)

Hi,

Ok.....so I've got it all going now thanks to help from this forum and a few phone calls to engineers familiar with this system but I have an issue I don't know how to solve.

I performed a System Reset and selected Square instead of PBX (Read a forum). Now all works but don't have the following keys working as they did before reset:

Transfer
DND
Redial
Intercom
Page
(Hands-free ok)

On the T7316E they all worked on the right hand keys without programming earlier.
It says "No call....something" now

Also when users dial another extension.... say they are on x226 and call upstairs x224 it just rings x222 and is the same for ALL handsets users can't call each other or transfer Extr/Intr calls.

One final thing on the T7316E how do I program the speed dial keys, I've tried all sorts of options but they just keep dialling extensions and the wrong ones.

I'm going to Reset again and set it back to PBX I don't want to but may be my only option, someone Help!!....I need to get away from this system I’ve spent far too much time on it.

Thanks

Kal.

Does anyone know how to Backup the complete system settings that have been programmed. I have a spare memory card that is working.

Hello Kal

I can answer most of your questions, but it's best if you contact me via the link below. It is possible to copy the contents of the 8 meg card using software such as ELAN explorer that I did some years ago on a XP machine. Another way is via the use of NRU 11 software and a modified ERAD with UK map files.
