I moved this system from one building to another and they had an external Caller ID box pluged into one of the M7208. It doesn't get caller info. How would I wire this to the 66 block so that one jack can use this CID. It was wired before but I pulled off the crossconnect by accident.

If it is an analog caller ID box. You would connect it directly to the main CO line, or the line you want to monitor caller ID info.

I tried to plug it in between the the wall jack and the phone and the phone keeps initializing. The CID says the phone is off hook. If I wire it back to the CO was does the crossconnect go?

You can't do this, the phone line is a digital phone line, and the caller id box is looking for analog signal.

What executone meant was to punch down a jack on the telco 66 block, for the line you want to get the Caller ID info. You would also use this same line as a line in your system. This way the call not only goes to your norstar, but also processes through the caller id box.

I haven't worked with telco world too much. I can get around a little. Can you combind the CO side of the 66 block and opposite side of the from the Norstar on the same pair or a different pair? I'm trying to understand the concept.

Thanks Janaya! Like janaya said your Norstar phones are digital, therefore the caller Id unit will not work in series with phone.
Hook it to the CO line before it goes into your phone system. You can have many hookups on line prior to it going to phone system, simular to your home phones.
