I have a CICS wired for music on hold that will not work. I have a cd player wired into a Bogen paging UTI system. I have a jumper wired from the music/page output of the Bogen to the violet/green of the trunk cable on the CICS. I can put my buttset on the violet/green pair and hear music, but it is not very loud. But when I call in and get put on hold, I do not hear anything. I have put music on hold and background music in programming. I can not hear the background music either. Any suggestions?

You need a seperate 600 ohm connection with a volume control .

What kind of connection? Do you mean another music source?

you can use the same source for the paging amp and the phone system ,
but you need to keep in mind the cics does not have a volume control for moh
so you need a source that has a preamped output (anything with a headset jack and volume control)

after you connect it to the system put a line on hold and listen , then adjust the moh volume from the source

when that is working ok hook it to the amp and adjust it's volume (on the amp)
