Norstar CICS Installer Password

I have a customer that has a Norstar CICS system and the default password has been changed. I have no idea what the password has been changed to. This system has been around the block and no one knows what the installer password is. How do I reset the password back to default in order to maintain this system? I was hoping to get some assistance from tek-tips before I go to Nortel and get charged for technical assistance. Thanks.

You have two options ,first is to open the unit and short battery(Capacitor)for one minuet and you will default the whole system to factory default,Second you can hook up a fast Rad (remote Access Device) to the system and use the browse tool and you will be able to see the password and you can change it. I thought you still need to enter the Installer password with an IRAD to begin a remote programming session(feature ** 266344). Unfortunately, the installer password has been changed. Is my only other option to short the capacitor and default system back to factory settings? Thanks.

If you use The Fast RAD( the external one )you can use the Browse tool and you can find the installer password . Good Luck!
